The Chedi Luštica Bay's Responsible Business Journey in 2023

During 2023, The Chedi Luštica Bay hotel, as part of its humanitarian efforts, has managed to make a significant contribution and provide support to those in need. In the past year, the hotel donated a total value of around 100,000 euros to the local community.

The Chedi hotel financially assisted in purchasing a school minibus for students from Gornja Morača, the Budi Human foundation, cleaning nearby beaches, as well as covering the medical treatment of a team member. Additionally, the hotel donated significant financial resources to support various events such as Ocean Lava, Montenegro Business Run, Social Impact Award for the best youth entrepreneurial startup project, and the construction of electric-powered vessels from the Fracraft company.

As a substantial part of its support to the local community, the hotel provided donations of bedding and towels to organizations including the Red Cross of Montenegro, "Mladost" Children's Home in Bijela, "Grabovac" Home for the Elderly in Risan, "Dr. Peruta Ivanović" Resource Center for Hearing and Speech in Kotor, Bar General Hospital, Children's Department of the General Hospital in Kotor, Water Polo and Swimming Federation of Montenegro, and those affected by the earthquake in Turkey.

In addition to the mentioned humanitarian actions, important initiatives within sustainable development have positioned The Chedi Luštica Bay hotel on a special map of responsible and sustainable business practices.

Additionally, the hotel has established a waste management program with monitoring and goal achievement throughout the year. This sustainability management system complies with ISO 21401. The hotel actively uses the "Think, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" user system, along with a life cycle assessment. The initiative also includes waste, energy, and water reduction, and 85% of the chemicals used in hotel hygiene maintenance are environmentally certified.
